A neat bit of trivia: The tunnel scene was shot on location near Breezewood, Pennsylvania on a section on the Pennsylvania Turnpike that has been abandoned due to the bypassing of two tunnels (Ray's Hill tunnel appears in the movie, and Sideling Hill tunnel, further east) in 1968..

Smh. u4cuwqx4 It's a pretty depressing movie, but a good one Fookin' love this movie!! This movie is pretty crazy, Its asif the directors literally caused an apocalyptic event so they could document it and sell it as a film , Extremely gritty , dark and depressing . I find this is why it receives a fair amount of negativity, But If you are after a good apocalypse movie with no Hollywood bullshit (except maybe one or two little cases) this is a good movie to check out. Well written , Great atmosphere and a great cast performance. Highly underrated film. 8/10 would apocalypse again =P.
